Our weird senator, J.D. Vance, admitted that he created the story about Springfield and Haitian immigrants. How much are the Republicans manipulating people by creating or repeating other crazy theories? Election fraud, high crime rates, all immigrants are criminals? Sound familiar? It’s because they repeat these lies every day, and Fox Entertainment feeds it to their viewers around the clock. Wake up people!

Not only do government officials disrespect others, but even small-town Warren has a climate that reeks of treachery, dishonesty and betrayal. We are engulfed these days by the sins and sounds of silence. A community of immigrants in an Ohio city is subject to a barrage of hatred and bigotry. They are targeted now by the voices of Hate Radio 570. Haiti is predominantly a Catholic nation. Catholic Charities in Southwest Ohio is providing support. But where are the voices of our local churches, and our local clergy? Should they not be standing loudly against the voices of hate, and not seemingly validate this evil by silence.

I watched Faux News the other day for a few minutes. Behind the Faux News host, they had WSJ-OPINION in big letters. This was an opinion piece from a far-right person and they were regurgitating it over and over again. Of course, most of their viewers do not understand it’s an opinion and they come away taking it as facts. Has Faux figured out a way to continue lying without the $787 million legal consequences?

Do you think you have Christian values? If you support someone who berates people, cheats on spouses and abuses women, you do not. Just going to church regularly on Sundays does not make you Christian. Caring about fellow humans and showing it with your words and actions makes you Christian. Creating solutions for groups of people trying to find a better life for their families is what Jesus would do. And Jesus definitely wouldn’t use these families for political gain.

Americans are falling for Trump’s false claims that TARIFFS on imported products will LOWER the cost of those products. The opposite is what actually happens. The tariff amount is simply added on to the product price and WE pay that additional money. Folks, this is just basic economics. The foreign country is not penalized! With a big smile, Trump is actually running on a policy of HIGHER consumer prices!
