Valley schools seek votes in Paint-the-Plow Contest

The Ohio Department of Transportation District 4 Paint-the-Plow contest is back for its 10th year.

The program encourages local community groups and school students to showcase their artistic skills by using ODOT’s snow plows as their canvas. District 4 encompasses Trumbull, Mahoning, Ashtabula, Portage, Stark and Summit counties.

This year’s contest will feature 13 school districts from either Trumbull or Mahoning counties. They are Bloomfield, Warren City, Mineral Ridge, Lordstown, Lakeview, LaBrae, Warren JFK, Hubbard, Howland, Champion Southington, Jackson-Milton and Austintown.

The winner of the contest receives bragging rights.

People can vote for their favorite plow on ODOT District 4’s Facebook page. Each like on the individual pictures counts as one vote and the plow that receives the most likes, wins.

Voting continues through 3 p.m. Dec. 9.

Starting at $2.99/week.
