WHAT: Board of education meeting Sept. 19

PRESENT: Terry Kelly, Betsy Dunn, Cory Freeman, Megan Gibbs and Steve Gilanyi

The board:

• Approved the pay for game workers at $40 per night for junior varsity and varsity and $20 per game for junior high.

• Recognized Abigail Castle, who placed seventh in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 11:38 at the Girls Division III High School Track regional championship May 24 in Creston. Her time set a new school record.

• Approved the seventh- and eighth-grade field trip March 6 to 8 to Washington, D.C.

• Approved an agreement with the Trumbull County Educational Service Center for $643,592 for various services.
