Charlita Verba 1975-2024

LEBANON — Charlita Verba, 49, passed away into eternal life, Thursday, July 25, 2024, at her residence.

On Jan. 28, 1975, in El Paso, Texas, Robert Elwood and Carmen Rita Deminie Stewart were blessed with the birth of their second daughter, Charlita. Charlita graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1993 and attended Kent State University.

Charlita worked as a market manager for Circle K for over 21 years.

She married Thomas Verba on Feb. 10, 2004, and enjoyed 20 years of marriage together. One of Charlita’s greatest joys was being a mom to her three kids, Liam Bender, Andrew Verba and Sam Verba. She was very family oriented and especially enjoyed the family’s yearly trip to Daytona Beach, for which she worked tirelessly year-round to provide fun in the sun for her family.

Charlita especially loved being a dance mom. As her daughter, Sam Verba, danced on stage, she would be found in the audience cheering her on and beaming with pride. Having watched Andrew’s recent love for bodybuilding grow and guiding a path for Liam to build the confidence to express himself, she is extremely proud of all of her kids.

Charlita’s presence would fill the room, as well as her laughter and infectious smile. She was known to do anything to help a friend in need. She will be missed by all.

Memories of Charlita will be carried on by her loving family: her husband, Tom of Lebanon; her daughter, Sam Verba of Fort Wayne, Indiana; her two sons, Liam Bender of Zanesville and Andrew Verba of Lebanon; her sister, Ramona Ramsey of Warren; her three nieces; and many, many cousins.

Charlita was preceded in death by her father.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place in September at a date to be determined.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the James Funeral Home, 8 E. Broad St., Newton Falls, OH 44444, 330-872-5440. Family and friends may view her obituary online or send condolences at www.jamesfuneralhomeinc.com.
