FOWLER - Carolyn A. Tate, 87, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at Sharon Regional Hospital.
She was born July 24, 1925, in Mineral Ridge, the daughter of Howard Sr. and Hazel (White) Todd, and had lived in the Cleveland area most of her adult life, moving back to Trumbull County in the last 10 years.
A graduate of Mineral Ridge High School, Carolyn enjoyed a productive career as the assistant to the dean of the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.

She also worked part-time at the Euclid Library.
A member of Hartford United Methodist Church, she had also belonged to Solo No More, and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, gardening, playing bingo at the senior centers, and following the Indians and Browns.
She was devoted to her family and her dog, Addie.
Surviving are three sons, Richard Merle of Port Clinton, Kenneth (Janet Marsh) of Fowler and Robert Alan (Cindy) Lloyd of Toledo; three grandchildren, Ross Allen (Angel), Kenna R. and Jacob Elliott Lloyd; and a great-granddaughter, Cassidy Moon Fieffer.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Robert Tate; a grandson, Derrek Dennis Lloyd; and two brothers, Howard, Jr. and William Todd.
Services are 6 p.m. Monday at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mary Ann Rufener officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial of her urn will take place privately at Kerr Cemetery.
