Roy V. and Beverly J. Yeager of Howland were the honored guests of a dinner party and dance at Leo's Ristorante in Warren to celebrate the couple's 50th anniversary on Sept. 8, 2012.
Mr. Yeager and the former Beverly Mercer were married Sept. 8, 1962, in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Salem. The event was officiated by the Rev. Daniel L. Kiester, and a reception was held at Salem Elks Lodge, Salem.
Mr. Yeager retired in 1998 as engineering supervisor from Packard Electric Division of General Motors in Warren. He graduated with an electrical engineering degree from General Motors Institute in Flint, Mich. Mrs. Yeager retired in 2001 as secretary and customer service representative for Midwest Insurance Agency in Warren.

They have two children, Diane Yeager of Warren and Douglas (Susan) Yeager of Hilliard. They also have two grandsons.
The couple are members of the Lake Milton Boat Club, Elks Lodge in Salem, Saxon Club in Youngstown, various men's, ladies and couples golf leagues and several bridge clubs.
They enjoy boating, golfing, boccee, cards and traveling throughout the United States and Europe. They also enjoy spending time with their family and friends and their pet schnauzer, Cali.
