The engagement and upcoming marriage of Sophia Economos and Michael Filippakis are being announced by the bride-elect's parents, Ted and Marie Economos of Warren.
The groom-elect is the son of Soula Filippakis of Parma and George Filippakis of Koutsara, Crete.
Miss Economos graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 2005. She graduated from Otterbein University with a bachelor of arts degree in sociology in 2009 and a master of science degree in education from Capella University 2012.

Mr. Filippakis is a 2005 graduate from Valley Forge High School. He graduated with a bachelor of science degree in construction management from The Ohio State University in 2011. He is employed with Turner Construction as a field engineer.
The couple are planning a late fall wedding at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Cleveland.
