Help Falls man battle cancer

BENEFIT TO HELP MAN: A cancer benefit to help Derek Stull, who is battling cancer, will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Faces Lounge, 13 W. Broad St., Newton Falls. The event is being sponsored by Project Be Somebody.

The event will include a pasta dinner, Chinese auction, live auction, 50-50 raffle, children's games and musical entertainment. Donations may be made at Faces Lounge for the Stull family. Admission is $5 adults and $3 for children 12 and younger for dinner. For information, call 330-442-3003.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH TO MEET: The Liberty Township Neighborhood Watch will meet at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the township administration building, 1315 Churchill Hubbard Road.

FILL THE BUS EFFORT PLANNED: A ''Fill the Bus Campaign'' and a second annual motorcycle run will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Buckeye Elks, 421 North Ave., Youngstown. Proceeds from the effort will be used to purchase school supplies for students at Youngstown City Schools.

The event will include a Chinese auction and 50-50 raffle. Registration is $15 for drivers and $10 for riders. Call Beth at 330-717-9241.

The Fill the Bus promotion is being held from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Union Square Plaza at Belmont Avenue and Gypsy Lane, Youngstown, and 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Southland Crossing Plaza in Boardman. The public can bring school supplies to fill the bus.

COMMUNITY YARD SALE THIS SATURDAY: The Iowa Street Playground Support Park, the South-West Blockwatch Niles and Avenue and Main are sponsoring a community yard sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Iowa Street playground, Niles.

Participants can set up a table of their own or donate items to be sold. Starting at 6 p.m. will be a fun family night with cornhole, ping pong, basketball and sack races. For information, call Barry at 330-219-3839

UPTON HOUSE TO BE OPEN: The Harriet Taylor Upton Open House, 380 Mahoning Ave., Warren, will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and will feature Waterford items with Carol Olson as hostess. For information, call 330-395-1840.

BUG DAY AT PARK: A Bug Day featuring displays and information on bugs and insects will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Mill Creek MetroParks Farm in Canfield.

CAMP INCLUDES BUILDING: A Bricks 4 Kidz Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Monday to Thursday at the St. Demetrios Center pavilion off Atlantic Street, Warren. The four-day camp is $60. Children will take part in activities where they build with Legos.

CHARITY EVENT PLANNED: The Trumbull County Voices of Youth Committee is holding a charity rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the Packard Shelter House, 1703 Mahoning Ave., Warren. Proceeds will be used to purchase personal hygiene and cleaning supplies for disadvantaged Trumbull County young adults. Baked goods will be available for purchase.
