NILES - The Mahoning Valley Scrappers have to wait one more night to exact revenge.
Thursday's Scrappers-Staten Island Yankees game was postponed due to inclement weather. The two teams play a doubleheader tonight with each game seven innings long. The first game begins tonight at 6:05 at Eastwood Field.
Saxon Butler, who was 2 for 5 with a three-run home run and five RBIs, paced the Yankees to an 8-2 win Wednesday - snapping the Scrappers' three-game winning streak.
Butler leads the New York-Penn League with 10 home runs and 36 RBIs. He also is batting .315.
Meanwhile, the watch for the two millionth fan is still 3,879 fans shy. Wednesday, the Scrappers played in front of 2,831 fans.
The two millionth fan entering Eastwood Field will receive a prize pack including a Scrappers suite night, team autographed bat, wings for a year, four Cleveland Indians game tickets, four NY-PL All-Star game tickets, a merchandise package, first pitch opportunity and gift certificates from various local businesses.
