NEWTON FALLS - Alex R. Mondok, 92, of Newton Falls, passed away peacefully into eternal life Thursday evening, July 12, 2012, at Laurie Ann Nursing Home.
Alex was born March 11, 1920, in Clarion, Pa., the son of the late George and Veronica Varga Mondok.
He was a self-employed brick layer for more than 50 years.

Alex was a member of the North Jackson Church of the Nazarene, where his son Gregory is a pastor.
Alex had all sorts of hobbies, but most of all he just liked to stay busy.
Memories of Alex will be carried on by his loving family, a son, Gregory (Karen) Mondok of Newton Falls; a daughter, Teresa (Ted) Deal of Newton Falls; a sister, Ann Murosky of Cleveland; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild, Jersee Traina.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; four sisters; and two sons, Roger and Alex Mondok.
Calling hours will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1 p.m., with Pastor Mike Travis officiating the service.
Alex will be laid to rest in Pine Knoll Cemetery, Warren Township.
