The engagement and upcoming marriage of Maria Caicco and Chris Kardassilaris are being announced by the bride-elect's parents, John and Elizabeth Caicco of Niles. Parents of the groom-elect are Takis and Kathy Kardassilaris of Warren.
Miss Caicco received a bachelor's degree in finance and real estate / urban analysis from The Ohio State University. She is employed as a registered marketing associate at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Columbus.
Mr. Kardassilaris also graduated from OSU with a bachelor's degree in chemical and biomolecular engineering. He is employed as an engineer at Honda R&D Americas Inc. in Raymond.

The couple will be united in marriage during an open wedding ceremony to be held at noon Aug. 25, 2012, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles. Invitations will be issued for a reception to be held following the ceremony.
