NILES - Margaret M. Babington, 92, formerly of Main Street in Mineral Ridge, passed away Monday evening, June 18, 2012, at the Humility House.
Margaret was born Aug. 28, 1919, in Atwater, the daughter of the late Charles John and Elsie Dora Nidy Andrie.
A member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mineral Ridge, Margaret was a bundle distributor for the Daily Times for 20 years and then worked as a hostess at McDonald's for 15 years, retiring in 2003.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Florida and a former member of Women of the Moose in Niles.
Her husband, Ellis G. Babington Sr., whom she married Feb. 28, 1936, passed away March 10, 1978.
She will be sadly missed by a daughter, Patricia A. (George) Johnson of Mineral Ridge; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Babington of Niles; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her best friend and companion, Alfred Parker.
Besides her parents and husband, Margaret was predeceased by a son, Ellis G. Babington Jr.; six siblings, Inez Grate, twins Eldon and Eldis Andrie, Fred Andrie, and twins Jim and John Andrie; and a grandson, Ellis Gene III.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humility House or the First Presbyterian Church of Mineral Ridge in Margaret's name.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Lane Family Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
