POLAND - Kathleen A. Petro Leek, 51, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 19, 2012, with her loving family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Kathleen will always be remembered and loved by all her family and friends for all the love and special memories that were shared.
She was born April 13, 1961, in New Castle, Pa., the daughter of George and Helen Gorski Petro.
Kathleen was employed as a dental hygienist for many years with Dr. Michael Leone.

Kathleen was a graduate of Villa Maria and earned her bachelor's degree in applied sciences from Youngstown State University.
Kathleen was a member of Holy Family Church and a previous member of St. Elizabeth Church in Campbell, along with various dental associations.
She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her husband and children, but she loved attending all her children's functions.
She leaves her husband, John Leek; two children, Maddie and Evan, both at home; a brother, Thomas (Marilyn) Petro of Lincoln, Neb., and their children, Karen, Mark and Nate; and a brother, Bernard (Janet) Petro of Campbell and their son, Clayton of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Church, Poland, with the Rev. Msgr. William Connell officiating, preceded by a 9:10 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Poland Riverside Cemetery, Poland.
In lieu of flowers, material contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
