The 30th ''Women Artists: A Celebration!'' exhibition opens Saturday at the McDonough Museum of Art.
Presented by the YWCA of Youngstown, the juried show offers local, regional and national women artists the opportunity to gain recognition for their work.
Juror Leslie A. Brothers, director of the McDonough, selected 62 pieces created by 35 artists for this year's exhibition. Media include paintings, drawings, photographs, sculpture, fiber, ceramics and metal works.
A preview party is planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the McDonough, 411 Wick Ave., Youngs-town. The evening will feature music, a cash bar, hors d'oeuvres and awards. About $1,000 in merit prizes will be announced around 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for the party are $35 for adults and $10 for student and can be ordered by calling the YWCA at 330-746-6361 or purchased at the door.
