HUBBARD - Stephen M. Polanchak Sr., 93, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, in Orange County, Calif.
He was born Sept. 4, 1918, in Farrell, Pa., the son of Michael S. and Anna Grexa Polanchak.
Stephen retired as a driver and salesman for Servi-Clean Industries and was a member of Chestnut Ridge Church of God in Hubbard.
He was a veteran of U.S. Coast Guard serving in the Canine Division during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, the former Helen A. Gulla; a daughter, Rebekah Ann "Becky" Polanchak of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; and a son, Stephen M. Polanchak Jr. of Chino Valley, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by two infant sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chestnut Ridge Church of God in Hubbard. There will be calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church.
Burial will be in Hubbard Union Cemetery.
