Daniel H. Currence 1950-2012

WARREN - Daniel H. Currence Sr., 62, of Warren, died at 10:28 p.m. April 12, 2012, at his home after being involved in a farming accident.

He was born March 6, 1950, in Warren, the son of the late Theodore Benjamin and Ruth Ray Currence.

Dan was a graduate of Lakeview High School and was a self-employed carpenter for many years. He also worked as an armature winder at Peerless-Winsmith, retiring after 26-plus years of service.

Mr. Currence loved to hunt and farm.

Survivors include his son, Daniel H. (Anissa) Currence Jr. of Cortland and his daughter, Rebecca Leah Nicole Currence of Bristolville; two grandsons, Brandon and Tristan Currence; one brother, James (Bernice) Currence of Bristolville, and two sisters, Evelyn Ellerd and Helen Garland, both of California; and his companion, Pamela Pannella of Bazetta.

Other than his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, the former Diane Lee Miller on March 4, 2004. They were united in marriage on June 15, 1971.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Fred Blauser will celebrate Daniel's life. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Burial will be in Sager Memorial Park, Bristolville.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the funeral home in his memory to help defray costs of the funeral.
