Editorial did not reflect the truth

DEAR EDITOR:

I was interviewed by the Warren Tribune on Sept. 29 by Guy Coviello. Mr. Coviello asked a number of questions and his final question was regarding the water problem in Liberty Township.

Mr. Coviello wanted to know my view on the problem the township was experiencing. My reply to this question was, "There is a solution to the water problem. It may not be today but it will be in the near future." Mr. Coviello then asked me how I knew this information. I told him that it was not necessary for him to know who told me.

He then proceeded to say, "Then you are calling Mayor Melfi and the Girard water department liars?" I told Mr. Coviello that I am not calling anyone a liar, I only am stating that there is a solution and it will be here in the near future. Mr. Coviello then proceeded to badger me and made the comment, "So what you're telling me is that if you are not elected you won't do anything about the water problem."

I told Mr. Coviello that there is nothing I can do about it, the only thing I can do if I am not elected is go to the meetings and complain and speak for our community.

Mr. Coviello's interpretation is entirely different from what I said. I do not believe that the editorial portrayed the truth of what was said during the interview.
