Perry and Donna Nicholas celebrated their 60th anniversary with their children, who surprised them with a weekend trip to Wheeling Island.
Mr. Nicholas and the former Donna Berry were married Aug. 31, 1951, at First Baptist Church in Warren.
Mr. Nicholas is a Korean War veteran and retired from Fire Foe Corp. Mrs. Nicholas retired from Automatic Vendors.

The couple have four children, Craig (Tammy), Bruce, Perry (Beth) and Lisa. They also have eight granddaughters.
