COLUMBUS - The Ohio Tax Credit Authority on Monday approved a 40 percent job creation tax credit over six years for Roth Bros. Inc., helping lead to an investment of $1.2 million and 55 new jobs over the next three years.
The tax credit has an estimated value of $263,492, the Regional Chamber said in announcing the credit. Roth Bros also had considered a site in Florida.
Roth will spend $900,000 to renovate its Austintown facility and $300,000 for new machinery and equipment, the chamber said. The average wage of the new jobs will be $15 an hour.
Walt Good, Regional Chamber vice president for economic development, said the project "will add to the Valley's string of recent project announcements."
Austintown-based Roth Bros. employs nearly 500 workers across the nation in heating, air conditioning and ventilation, roofing and building facility services including energy management, electrical services and performance contracting.
