Time spent with grandma is valuable
Spending time with my grandmother is one of my favorite pastimes. My grandmother celebrated her 85th birthday on Oct. 23. Eighty five years of life, what a grand thing. My grandmother has been a longtime Trumbull County resident. She tells stories of living in Brookfield, Masury, Hubbard and Niles. Grandma told me she watched workers build the Route 46 bridge in Niles, twice. She remembers the first time it was built; she lived in a home where the Circle K now sits on the South side. When grandma and grandpa were a young couple with two children they lived in Brookfield near highway 82 on Route 7. They later moved to a farmhouse in Masury with their four girls. The farmhouse is always thought of with fond memories. My grandfather worked for Conrail, which caused them to move around. By the time I came into the world my grandmother and grandfather were proud owners of two big homes on Neil Street in Niles. I try to spend as much time as I can with my grandmother.

Fativity — being active in the mental state but grazing on snacks throughout the mental activity.
The humor in everyday life
I, like most people, do some very silly things occasionally. So, I thought I would share a few of my very human moments with you today.
I decided to venture out to Kohl’s Department Store on Route 46.
Moving to country a big change
It all began in the fall of 1978. I was 6 years old when we moved out to Hartford from Niles. We went from a postage-stamp sized front yard to a vast, three-acre, open yard containing a pond and a pole barn. Woods and wildlife surrounded us.
