| | Holmgren is out?October 16, 2012 - Mike McLainESPN's Adam Schefter and Ed Werder first reported that Mike Holmgren will be out as president of the Browns at the end of this season. Holmgren's exit will mark the arrival of Joe Banner as president. It was rumored that Banner would be named president once Jame Haslam III was approved as owner, which happened earlier today in Chicago. Holmgren signed a five-year contract in December of 2009. He will leave with two seasons remaining on his contract. The Browns haven't made the progress that was envisioned when Holmgren took charge. The Browns had a 5-11 record in 2010 and a 4-12 mark last season. They have a 1-5 record this season.
