| | Second opinionAugust 8, 2012 - Mike McLainBEREA -- Browns rookie running back Trent Richardson will travel to Pensacola, Fla., Thursday to have a second opinion on his sore left knee by famed surgeon Dr. James Andrews. Richardson had an arthroscopic procedure on the knee last February following the Crimson Tide's win over LSU in the national championship game. The surgery, performed by Andrews, was to repair a torn meniscus. Coach Pat Shurmur confirmed Richardson's trip to Alabama in a statement released by the team: "Trent Richardson is traveling to Pensacola, Fla., where he will have his left knee further evaluated by Dr. James Andrews tomorrow." It's possible that Richardson might have another minor "cleanup" surgery. Recovery from that type of procedure normally isn't lengthy. Richardson was the Browns' first-round pick and the third overall choice in this year's draft.
